Ashley Billstrom (Hales Corner, Wis./Whitnall) wrapped up the 2006 Track and Field season Saturday evening, finishing 22nd in the 3000m steeplechase at the NCAA Mideast Regional in Knoxville, Tenn.

Billstrom, who won the 3000m steeplechase at the Mid-Continent Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finished the course in 11:07.97 against some of the top runners in the country. The junior holds the school record in the event (10:51.0), set two weeks ago at the Mid-Con Championships.

Billstrom's performance concludes the 2006 Valparaiso Track and Field season. The Crusaders will begin their 2006-07 indoor season this winter.
