Winning four individual events was not enough for Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon as the Crusaders dropped a 141-75 meet to Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill.

Dave Peterson (Schererville, Ind./Highland H.S.) was a double-winner for the Crusaders on the day. He began with a victory in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:23.81. The senior then came back and won the 100 breaststroke touching the wall in 2:15.37.

Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington H.S.) turned in a winning effort for Valpo in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:14.89 while Blake Edwards (Orange, Calif./Lutheran H.S. of Orange County) won the 500 free with a mark of 5:03.29.

Valparaiso will wrap up the dual meet portion of the 2006-2007 season next Saturday as the Crusaders host UIC at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool. The first event begins at 1 p.m.
