Rachel Janssen (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger H.S.) split a pair of singles matches on Saturday at the Mastodon Invitational in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Crusader senior dropped her first round match to Jana Deylova of West Virginia State 6-4, 6-3. She then advanced to the consolation final as Jackie Villines of Xavier (Ohio) defaulted. Janssen won the final match 6-1, 6-0 against IPFW's Ashley Coulson.

On Friday, Janssen played doubles with a partner from IPFW, but the duo dropped a pair of contests.

Janssen will compete at the ITA Regional Championships beginning on Thursday in East Lansing, Mich.
