Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) and Joe Venegas (Saint Charles, Ill./North H.S.) won the A Doubles consolation flight at the Ball State Fall Invitational on Sunday afternoon as competition wrapped up in the three-day event.

The duo posted an 8-6 triumph over Tiaga Espirito Santo and Thiago Dos Santos of Wichita State to capture the back draw title.

Also on Sunday, freshman Tom Litscher (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial H.S.) dropped his championship match of the consolation bracket in C Singles, falling 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 to Michael Wenham of Indiana State.

Valparaiso will return to the courts on Friday afternoon for the Bradley Invitational. Play begins at 2 p.m. in Peoria, Ill.
