Valparaiso University's Mike Shideler (Valparaiso, Ind./Munster H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Bradley Invitational this past weekend.

Shideler went 3-1 in singles play last weekend, advancing to the finals of the C Flight before falling to Tyler Sonkin of Toledo. Shideler also teamed with Alex Lau (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson Senior H.S.) to advance to the semifinals in the C Flight of doubles.

Shideler and the Crusaders will host their annual Alumni Tournament this Saturday at the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex beginning at 3 p.m. Prior to the tournament, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Valparaiso University will have a dedication of the new tennis complex.
