Valparaiso's baseball game scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been cancelled due to snow and rain in the DeKalb, Ill. area.

More than an inch of snow was on the ground Wednesday morning and rain was continuing to fall, and forecasted for the remainder of the afternoon.

The game has not been rescheduled at this time.

Valparaiso (8-17) is scheduled to return to action this weekend as the Crusaders head to Farge, N.D. to battle North Dakota State. Saturday's doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.
