Severe thunderstorms that rolled into the Indianapolis, Ind. area just over an hour before game time forced the scheduled baseball game at Victory Field between Valparaiso and Butler to be postponed.

The Crusaders and Bulldogs will make the game up on May 1 as part of a doubleheader at Emory G. Bauer Field in Valparaiso. The start time has been moved up to 1 p.m. on this date to allow for the two games to be played.

Valparaiso (5-15) will travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. on Wednesday night for an exhibition game with the Fort Wayne Wizards, the Class A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CDT.
