Four Valparaiso University student-athletes received the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Awards as selected by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. The award recognizes minority undergraduate students who have made achieving both academically and athletically a winning combination.

The Valparaiso University Guild will present a web conference on Sunday, April 13 at 8:30 p.m. CDT. Mark LaBarbera, Director of Athletics, is the featured presenter. His presentation will focus on Valpo’s athletics program and student athletes. The web conference, a live meeting presented over the Internet, is free to the public.

WVUR (95.1 FM-Valparaiso) has announced that the student-run radio station will broadcast more than 40 live baseball and softball games this spring beginning with the Crusader baseball game on Sunday, March 2 against Indiana in Clarksville, Tenn.
