Valparaiso University's Ansel Hillmer (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough H.S.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine At-Large Academic All-District V First Team as voted upon by CoSIDA.

Three members of the Valparaiso University men's swimming and diving team have earned Academic All-Horizon League honors for their efforts both in the pool and in the classroom this season.

Valparaiso closed out the 2009 season in record-setting fashion on Saturday evening, setting three more new school marks to bring the total number of new records set over the weekend to 11 at the Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships held in Brown Deer, Wis.

The Crusaders dropped a close 131-104 decision to Evansville and fell to Saint Louis 150-82.
