Fans are invited to get their first glimpse of the 2008-2009 Valparaiso men’s and women’s basketball teams at Valpo Hoops Mania presented by Cardinal Bus, to be held Friday, October 10 at the Athletics-Recreation Center.  Doors will open at 9:15 p.m., with festivities beginning at 9:30 p.m.  Admission to the event is free.

The annual preseason showcase of the basketball teams will kick off with a 3-on-3 men’s basketball alumni game.  Introductions of both teams will commence at 10 p.m.  Representatives from both teams will participate in a 3-point contest, which will be followed by a slam dunk contest with members of the men’s team.  Both squads will then take part in brief scrimmages to close out the evening.
