The Valparaiso women's track and field team concluded the two-day Simmons-Harvey Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Saturday afternoon.

Alyssa Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) led the Crusader effort on Saturday with a time of 2:21.06 in the 800m run, less than two seconds off her PR in the event.  Bradford's time was good for a seventh-place finish.

Sara Christensen (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) placed eighth in the 3,000m run with a time of 11:18.60 Saturday as well.  Jorie Ballun (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) added a seventh-place finish in the 400m dash and an 11th-place showing in the 200m dash.

Valparaiso returns to action next weekend at the two-day Findlay Classic.  Meet action begins on Friday morning at 10 a.m. CST.
