Valparaiso sophomore Michael Morman (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) and junior Andy Burns (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) were both named to the Chicago Suburban Baseball League's 2012 All-College team, the league announced Thursday.  Morman hit .415 for the Crystal Lake Cardinals over the summer, while Burns hit .367 for the Lexington Snipes.  Both players redshirted last spring for the Crusaders and are looking to make an immediate impact on the field for the 2013 season.

Morman finished the summer season with a .415 batting average along with 12 doubles, four home runs and 31 RBIs.  In 118 at-bats for the Crystal Lake Cardinals, he walked 19 times with only five strikeouts, as well as recording a .636 slugging percentage and .514 on base percentage.  Morman started in 55 games as a freshman at Valpo and was named to the 2011 Horizon League All-Tournament team.

Burns led the Lexington Snipes to a 30-19 overall record and appeared in 39 games during the summer.  He hit .367 with six doubles, 14 RBIs and seven stolen bases.  Burns compiled a .492 slugging percentage and on base percentage of .450.  The Snipes organization also named Burns Co-MVP for his outstanding summer performance.
