The #15 Valparaiso bowling team closed out action at the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pa. on Sunday in bracket play, finishing the event in 14th place out of 28 competing teams.

The Crusaders opened the day, contested in the best-of-seven baker format, with a hard-fought 4-3 win over #16 Long Island. The win advanced Valpo into a matchup with #8 Adelphi, where the Crusaders would fall by a 4-3 final. Valpo's tournament closed with a match against #RV Delaware State, which took a 4-3-2 victory over the Crusaders.

Valparaiso (36-39) returns to the lanes next weekend at the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington, Texas. The three-day event begins Friday, February 1.
