The Valparaiso softball team will play eight games over five dates against collegiate competition while also hosting an alumni game on Homecoming Saturday, as head coach Jordan Stevens announced the Crusaders' fall slate today.

The fall schedule kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 23 with a game at Illinois. The following Saturday, Sept. 29, Valpo will host Grand Valley State and DePauw in games at the Valparaiso University Softball Field. The Crusaders then travel the next day to Evanston, Ill. for a doubleheader against fellow NCAA Tournament participant Northwestern.

Valpo returns home for the remainder of the fall season, starting off with the squad's alumni game on Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 6. That Sunday (Oct. 7) sees the Crusaders host Purdue North Central and Lake Land College before the fall slate wraps up on Saturday, Oct. 13 versus Heartland C.C.
