Valparaiso University’s Monica Rowan (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park H.S.) has been named to the Mid-Continent Conference Second Team as a utility player.

A junior, Rowan hit .302 for the Crusaders with five doubles and four RBIs in just 19 games. In conference play she hit .316 with a .474 slugging percentage. A wrist injury forced Rowan to miss half of the season.

Rowan saw action behind the plate, at third base, and shortstop, and also hit as the designated player.
