The Valparaiso softball program will be hosting an alumni event, including a softball game and a cookout, on the Saturday of Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 1.

All softball alumni are welcomed back for the Homecoming Weekend festivities.  The alumni will take on the current players in a softball game at 4 p.m. (following the conclusion of the Valpo-Morehead State football game) at the Valparaiso University Softball Field.  Following the softball game, a cookout dinner will be held at the stadium.

The public is invited to come watch the alumni game free of charge, but the cookout is only open to the alumni.  Alumni who are planning on attending the event should contact graduate assistant KC Boldt at Kathryn.Boldt@valpo.edu or via phone at 219-464-5047.  More information about the event can also be found on the Valpo Softball Facebook page.
