The Valparaiso University softball team’s foray into non-conference play in the Midwest will be put off for at least another week, as the Crusaders’ scheduled game at IUPUI on Tuesday afternoon has been canceled – the principals involved deciding that with the potential for precipitation and projected wind chills at or below 30 degrees at game time, it was in everyone’s best interest not to play on Tuesday. The game will not be made up.

Valpo will continue Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend with the longest trip of the conference schedule, trekking to Springfield, Mo. to take on Missouri State. The three-game set begins with a Saturday afternoon doubleheader.
