Valparaiso University's Marion Hansen (Huntley, Ill./Huntley H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Crusaders to three victories last week.

Hansen recorded three straight double-doubles beginning with her 18-kill, 26-dig performance against IPFW, while hitting .294. The junior outside hitter then hit .341 with 11 kills and 11 digs as Valpo swept UMKC. She then rounded out her weekend, slamming down 14 kills and added 20 digs along with three blocks in the Crusaders four-game win over first place Oral Roberts.

For the week, Hansen averaged 3.58 kills, 4.75 digs, and 0.50 blocks per game.

Hansen became the fourth Crusader this season to earn Player of the Week honors, joining Michelle Robinson (Bloomingtion, Ill./Normal H.S.), Cyndi Norman (Minooka, Ill./Minooka H.S.), and Elissa Malthaner (Brighton, Mich./Brighton H.S.).
