Valparaiso ran its school record winning streak to 13 on Friday evening as the Crusaders defeated Centenary 30-16, 30-19, 30-16 in Shreveport, La.

Lauren Moulton (Elgin, Ill./Larkin H.S.) led the way for the Brown and Gold, hitting .643 with nine kills while playing in just two games. Tiffany Meikle (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove H.S.) added six kills and a match-high 15 digs for the Brown and Gold, while Sara Silcox (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City H.S.) added ten digs. Sara Hughes (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) dished out a match-high 25 assists in the contest, which saw all 14 Crusaders play.

Valpo hit .261 for the match with 43 kills, while adding 46 digs and 14 blocks. Liz Mikos (Dundee, Ill./Jacobs H.S.) rejected six in just two games, while Nicole Schulz (Kewaskum, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran H.S.) added four blocks.

The Crusaders held the Ladies to -.061 hitting on the night. Emily Longerot led Centenary (6-21, 0-8 Mid-Con) with nine kills while Ashley Templer added eight. Lindsay Bekelja added 11 digs defensively for the Ladies, which remained winless in Mid-Continent Conference action.

Valpo (19-3, 8-0) has swept its last five matches and has only dropped two games in conference play all season. The Crusaders will look to make it back-to-back 20-win seasons, and 14 victories in a row, on Saturday night when the Brown and Gold travels to Tulsa, Okla. to battle Oral Roberts in a 5 p.m. match.
