Valparaiso had its second best shooting night in school history connecting on 62.7% from the floor on its way to an easy 91-44 victory over Centenary Monday evening at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
Every Crusader saw at least five minutes of action, with 12 of the 14 playing double-digit minutes in the rout.
Valpo started the game making 15 of its first 18 shots from the field opening with a 36-11 run over the game's first 13-and-a-half minutes. The Crusaders led 44-18 at the break.

(Minneapolis, Minn./North H.S.) capped off a 12-0 run to start the second half five minutes in and the Crusaders never looked back.
(Almelo, Netherlands/Saint Canisius H.S.) led Valpo with a season-high 14 points while grabbing seven rebounds as the Brown and Gold had four players score in double figures. Betsy Rietema

(Crown Point, Ind./Andrean H.S.) added 11 points each while Tamra Braun
(Savage, Minn./Prior Lake H.S.) chipped in ten.

Valpo finished the game making 32-of-51 from the floor, including 7-of-17 (41.2%) from three-point range. The Crusaders dished out 24 assists while committing just 16 turnovers.
Centenary (3-20, 2-10 Mid-Con) was led by Cierra Bush, who tallied nine points and eight boards off of the bench. The Ladies committed 23 turnovers leading to 34 Crusader points. Centenary did out rebound Valpo 35-34, holding a 21-6 edge on the offensive glass.
Valparaiso (14-8, 8-3), which moved into a second place tie with IUPUI in the Mid-Continent Conference standings, will battle Western Illinois on Saturday afternoon for the top spot in the league.
