Valparaiso had its second best shooting night in school history connecting on 62.7% from the floor on its way to an easy 91-44 victory over Centenary Monday evening at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Every Crusader saw at least five minutes of action, with 12 of the 14 playing double-digit minutes in the rout.

Valpo started the game making 15 of its first 18 shots from the field opening with a 36-11 run over the game's first 13-and-a-half minutes. The Crusaders led 44-18 at the break.

Two free throws by Krystal Taylor (Minneapolis, Minn./North H.S.) capped off a 12-0 run to start the second half five minutes in and the Crusaders never looked back.

Mayella Kuikhoven (Almelo, Netherlands/Saint Canisius H.S.) led Valpo with a season-high 14 points while grabbing seven rebounds as the Brown and Gold had four players score in double figures. Betsy Rietema (Grand Rapids, Mich./Christian H.S.) and Jamie Gutowski (Crown Point, Ind./Andrean H.S.) added 11 points each while Tamra Braun (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake H.S.) chipped in ten.

Valpo's bench performed with Gutowski leading the reserves to 46 points on the evening.
