Valparaiso University's Tamra Braun (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week after leading the Crusaders to a pair of Mid-Continent Conference victories while also turning in a solid performance against #12/13 Notre Dame.

Braun, who has earned the honor for the second time in her career, averaged 14.0 points per game along with 6.7 rebounds per contest, while shooting 64.0% in three games. She scored ten points in the Crusaders' loss at Notre Dame, posted 17 points and seven rebounds at home in a win against UMKC and concluded the week with her fifth double-double of the season, 15 points and ten rebounds, at Oakland.

The junior is the third Crusader honored by the league this season. Betsy Rietema (Grand Rapids, Mich./Christian H.S.) and Carrie Myers (Stickleyville, Va./Lee H.S.) both earned Player of the Week honors earlier this season.
