Valparaiso University’s Agnieszka Kulaga (Tarnow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace H.S.) has been named the U.S. Army Scholar-Athlete of the Week for her performances against nationally-ranked Purdue and Notre Dame.

The senior guard averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in the two games, including a 17-point, eight rebound performance in Valpo’s upset victory over #23/21 Purdue.

In the classroom, Kulaga graduated from Valparaiso in three years with a 3.80 undergraduate grade-point average in international business and now has a 3.85 GPA in graduate school as she pursues an MBA. She was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team last season and has twice been named to the Horizon League’s Academic Honor Roll.  She was also the U.S. Army Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month for November.
