The Valparaiso University women's basketball team will tip-off its 2002-2003 season on Sunday afternoon at the Athletics-Recreation Center with an exhibition game against the Reebok Lady Stars.

The defending Mid-Continent Conference champions will take to the floor for a 2:05 p.m. match-up with a team of former college athletes.

Valpo returns Second Team All Mid-Continent Conference selection Jeanette Gray (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso H.S.) and 2001-2002 Newcomer of the Year Katie Boone (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove H.S.) as the Crusaders play their only exhibition game before their regular season opener. The Brown and Gold will open the regular season on November 23 against Miami (Ohio) in the Spartan Chevrolet Classic in East Lansing, Mich.
