Valparaiso University sophomore Tamra Braun (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Co-Player of the Week after her performances over the last three games.

Braun shares the honor with Oakland's Petra Manakova.

The sophomore averaged 17.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game on the week, while shooting 59.0% from the floor, while helping the Crusaders record a 2-1 record on the week.

Braun scored a career-high 27 points on 13-of-20 shooting at Chicago State last Thursday, while grabbing nine rebounds and adding four blocks. In Saturday's win over first place Western Illinois, she added her third double-double of the year with 14 points and ten rebounds to go along with three rejections. She closed the week on Monday with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while pulling down nine boards and adding three blocks.

Braun is the third Crusader to earn Player of the Week honors this season. Carrie Myers (Stickleyville, Va./Lee H.S.) receive the award on December 14 and Jenna Stangler (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville H.S.) earned the recognition on January 11.
