The Valparaiso University women’s basketball game on Dec. 20 against Notre Dame has been selected as part of the NCAA’s “Pack the House Challenge”, an ongoing nationwide women's basketball attendance competition taking place throughout the season.
The Fighting Irish are currently ranked in the top-20 in the country and are making their first appearance at the ARC since 2008.
Tickets for the game are just $10, with children 10 and under being admitted free of charge. The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive a Valpo beanie hat.
Nearly 250 of the nation's Division I women's basketball programs have already signed up to participate in the fourth annual competition. The premise for each participating institution - select a game at which an attempt is made to break your single-game or 2009-10 season record. Based on the final results nationwide, 32 conference champions and one overall national champion will be determined by the NCAA.
