Jasmyn Walker (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores) was rewarded for her outstanding performance versus Milwaukee last Thursday with her third Horizon League Freshman of the Week award. 

Walker's 18 points and 13 rebounds rallied the Crusaders to a 69-56 victory over the visiting Panthers. She was 8-for-13 from the floor, a perfect 2-for-2 from the charity stripe, and swatted two shots in Valpo's second league win in its last three outings.

This is the third such accolade for Walker, which ties her with classmate Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/George Washington) and Detroit guard Darianne Seward for most Freshman of the Week awards in the Horizon League.

Walker and the Crusaders return to the court Thursday evening in Green Bay versus the first-place Phoenix. Tipoff from the Kress Events Center is slated for 7:00 pm CT.
