A new era of Valparaiso University women’s basketball will officially begin on Wednesday morning. Director of Athletics Mark LaBarbera is set to formally introduce head coach Mary Evans at a welcome reception that is slated to start at 10:30 a.m.

Evans, who spent the last five seasons as an assistant at Ohio University, was named the eighth head coach in program history last week.

The reception will be held in the Athletics-Recreation Center first-floor media room/classroom and is open to media, faculty and staff and the Valparaiso University community. A live video stream of the event will be available courtesy of VUTV.
