Women’s Basketball Announces Summer Camps

The Valparaiso University women’s basketball program has announced its 2019 summer camp dates and details.

The annual Day Camp will take place from June 24-26 from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is open to those entering grades two through eight and the cost is $100 per camper. The event provides the opportunity to gain skill instruction from the Valpo women’s basketball coaching staff and features daily competitions and prizes. All attendees will receive a Valpo basketball T-shirt and have the opportunity to meet and work with Valpo players.

The program’s Elite Camp is slated for Saturday, June 29 from noon to 5 p.m. for those entering grades nine through 12. The cost is $75 per camper. This camp features high intensity teaching and skills training in addition to skill and team competitions. It is built for players who want to play at the next level. Campers will receive a Valpo basketball T-shirt and will have the opportunity to meet and work with Valpo’s staff and players.

Valpo will hold its Team Camp on Friday, June 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. High school teams interested in registering or more information can contact assistant coach Gabby Johnson at Gabby.Johnson@valpo.edu.

All camps will take place inside the Athletics-Recreation Center, which is located at 1009 Union Street in Valpo.
