Erika Roudebush

Assistant Coach

Erika Roudebush enters her second year working with the Valparaiso University women’s basketball staff.  The Director of Basketball Operations in 2003-2004, she enters her first season as an assistant coach for the 2004-2005 campaign.

With the Crusaders, Roudebush assists with scouting and recruiting and is in charge of the team’s travel plans.  She also is responsible for equipment, oversees the managers, and follows the academic progress of the student-athletes.  She is also actively involved with Valpo practices along with assisting with gameday coaching.

As director of basketball operations, Roudebush was responsible for film exchange and helped to break down game tape.

Roudebush arrived at Valpo after playing for four seasons at Cleveland State University where she ranks among the Vikings all-time leading scorers.

She earned Second Team All-Horizon League honors as a senior after being named to the First Team her junior season.  As a senior, Roudebush was named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team, and closed her career with eight straight 20-point games.

Roudebush finished fourth on Cleveland State’s career scoring charts with 1,458 points, sixth in assists (301), and ninth in steals (184).  She also was the Vikings top three-point shooter with 190 treys, and second in percentage, making 34.9% of her threes.

Roudebush earned her bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State in physical education with a focus in sport management in 2003. She is now working on her master’s degree in sports administration at Valpo, and is scheduled to earn her degree in May, 2005.
