The Valparaiso bowling team is ranked #2 nationally in the latest version of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Media Poll, released earlier this week.

The Crusaders, who have consistently been ranked among the nation’s top teams this season, came in at #2 in the latest iteration of the media poll after being ranked #3 in the latest release of the coaches poll.  Valpo tallied 382 total points and received one of the 16 first-place votes, trailing only Fairleigh Dickinson, which received the other 15 first-place votes and totaled 448 points.  Sacred Heart (368 points), Arkansas State (342) and Maryland Eastern Shore (326) round out the top-five in the polling.

Valparaiso (57-22) returns to the lanes this weekend after two weekends off, traveling to Bessemer, Ala. to compete at Alabama A&M’s Holiday Classic.  The three-day tournament begins Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.
