Trexler Signs NLI To Join Valparaiso Bowling Program
Aubree Trexler will join the Crusader bowling program for the 2014-15 season.

Valparaiso bowling head coach Matt Nantais announced today that Aubree Trexler has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Crusader bowling program as a freshman for the 2014-15 season.

Trexler, who comes to Valpo from Hamilton Heights [Ind.] H.S. in Arcadia, Ind., has earned First Team All-State accolades each of the last two seasons. She finished third at the Indiana state tournament last season as a junior after third-place finishes at the semi-state and regional tournaments. In 2011, Trexler won regional and semi-state championships before finishing seventh at the same tournament.

Trexler has been very successful in other events as well, earning five victories on the Indiana Junior Bowlers Tour (INJBT) and five Indiana Youth Scholarship Bowling Tournament (IYSBT) wins. She also captured the inaugural IHSB Collegiate Challenge in 2011. Trexler owns a high series of 774, a high game of 279 and a high average of 207.

"Aubree has been one of the top bowlers in the state of Indiana over the last couple years," said Nantais. "She works very hard in the classroom as well as on the lanes, and is going into our nursing program. Aubree is what we are looking for here at Valpo, and I look for her to make a great impact on our team as soon as she arrives on campus."
