The Valparaiso bowling team experienced success in the classroom as well as on the lanes last season, as it was recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) for posting a cumulative team grade point average of at least 3.2.

The Crusaders posted a team GPA of 3.27 for the 2013-14 academic year to earn the recognition from the NTCA for the first time in program history.  In all, 20 programs were honored for their success in the classroom.

The NTCA previously announced in June that six Crusader bowlers earned All-Academic recognition for carrying at least a 3.4 GPA for the academic year.  The six Crusaders honored were the most in a single season in program history.
