The Valparaiso University bowling program moved up to #23 in the nation in the March iteration of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) national top-25 poll.
The Crusaders, who returned to the rankings in February, jumped two spots this month after posting 12 wins over two months last month. Valpo has now been nationally ranked in all but three NTCA polls since the program’s inception prior to the 2009-10 campaign.
Valpo returns to the lanes in two weekends, as the Crusaders will trek to Dallas, Texas for the Southland Bowling League Championship. The nation’s toughest bowling conference, seven of the Southland Bowling League’s eight programs are nationally ranked in the NTCA March poll, including five programs in the top-10.
