Monday, November 1, 2004
For the second time this season, Valparaiso University's Erin Murray (Pleasanton, Calif./Amador Valley H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

The freshman goalkeeper made four saves in Valpo's 1-0 loss to Oral Roberts last Thursday. On Saturday, she made six more stops helping Valpo to a 1-0 shutout victory over Central Michigan. The blanking was her fifth of the season, tying Valpo's single-season shutout record.

Murray also earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor on October 11.
