Valparaiso University soccer player Jackie Kondratko (Granger, Ind./Penn H.S.) has been named a First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V selection for the second straight season.

A team captain this season, she is tied for second on the team in scoring this season with 14 points, tallying five goals and four assists.  Three of her five goals have resulted in match-winners.

Kondratko’s 11 career goals are tied for eighth all-time at Valpo while her 29 total points are ninth most ever by someone in a Brown and Gold uniform.  In addition, her five career match-winners are seventh most by a Crusader in school history and she ranks sixth all-time with 114 shot attempts.

A mechanical engineering major, Kondratko sports a 3.95 cumulative grade point average.  She has been named to the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls the past two years and was voted to the conference’s All-Academic Team as a junior.

Kondratko was the only Horizon League player named to an All-District First Team and one of two (Kara Cooper, Youngstown State, Second Team) named to a team overall.

Kondratko and the Crusaders will host Green Bay on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Championships.
