Derksen Joins Valpo's Recruiting Class

Valparaiso University women's soccer coach Stephen Anthony has announced that Brittany Derksen has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Crusaders and will join four others as freshmen for the 2004 season.

Derksen, a 5'3" midfielder, is from Chugiak, Alaska. A four-year starter at Chugiak High School, she has earned All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference honors during her career.

She joins Erin Murray, Karie Sahly, Britta Zewers, and Sonney Ziegahn as members of the 2004 freshmen class that had previously signed with the Brown and Gold.
