Valparaiso University freshman Lori Johnson (Sachse, Texas/Naaman Forest H.S.) has been selected as the Mid-Continent Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week after leading the Crusaders to a victory over Western Illinois in the Mid-Continent Conference opener on Sunday.

The rookie drew an assist on the match's first goal, then added her first collegiate match-winner with just 28 seconds left in the first half in her first career start. Johnson now has three goals and two assists on the season.
