King Named to Soccer Buzz's Elite Team of the Week

Valparaiso University's Emily King (Colona, Ill./United Township H.S.) has been named to Soccer Buzz Magazine's Elite Team of the Week for her efforts last week at the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament.

King, the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, set tournament records with four goals in two matches. She also became the first player with two multiple goal matches in the tournament, helping the Crusaders to the title and their first NCAA Tournament berth.

Valpo (12-7-1) will face Notre Dame on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. CST at Notre Dame in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Elite Team of the Week is made up of 11 players from throughout the country who had the biggest impact in collegiate soccer during the previous week.
