Valparaiso University is one of 48 intercollegiate soccer programs of all divisions to have both its men's and women's soccer teams recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for posting a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2004-2005 academic year.

For this accomplishment, both teams received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the third straight year, and are one of just 13 schools in NCAA Division I to have both programs earn the honor.

Mis' Mrak's program is one of just 65 teams to earn the honor on the men's side. Valpo's men recorded a 3.20 team grade point average.

Stephen Anthony's women's squad tallied a 3.55 GPA and among 246 female programs to be recognized.
