Valparaiso University's Britt Nelson (Cortland, N.Y./Homer H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.

The freshman recorded three wins on the week in a pair of dual meets. She won the 1000 free with a time of 10:47.21 and the 500 free (5:22.16) against Ball State and Butler, while also swimming a leg in the first place 200 free relay (1:45.04).

Nelson also finished third against Miami (Ohio) and Xavier in the 200 free (1:59.53) and 500 free (5:17.95).
