Dangremond Voted to Horizon League All-Academic Team

Valparaiso University’s Shaunna Dangremond (Tucson, Ariz./Sabino H.S.) has been selected to the Horizon League’s All-Academic Team for the third consecutive season.

The senior is the school record-holder in the 200 individual medley as well as a member of the record-setting 200 freestyle and 400 medley relays at Valpo.  She posted the team’s fastest 100 butterfly time of the season this year, as well as the second fastest marks in the 50 and 100 freestyle as well as the 100 and 200 backstrokes.

A member of the Horizon League’s Academic Honor Roll the last three years as well, Dangremond is a double major in accounting and Spanish.

The 15-member Horizon League All-Academic Team in women’s swimming was voted upon by the league’s faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.  To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher and competed at least one year at the member institution.
