Valparaiso earned a fourth place finish on Friday and Saturday at the Eastern Illinois Invitational with 203 points.
The host Panthers won the meet with 721.5 points three more than Evansville.
Individually, Valpo earned two fourth place finishes and four fifths. The 50 freestyle saw Rachel Korellis (Champaign, Ill./Centennial H.S.) and Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) touch the wall back-to-back in fourth and fifth. Korellis finished in 26.02 seconds while Schneider was .04 seconds behind.
Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) also placed fourth for the Brown and Gold, doing so in the 200 free with a time of 2:03.72. The junior also finished fifth in the 500 free with a mark of 5:27.52.
Katie Jajtner (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington H.S.) earned a pair of fifth place finishes. She touched the wall in 1:06.90 in the 100 backstroke and 2:24.18 in the 200 back.
Valpo will return to the pool on Saturday afternoon with at tri-meet against South Dakota State and Wisconsin-Green Bay in Green Bay, Wis. The first event begins at 4 p.m.
