The Valparaiso women's swim team dropped a 131-88 dual meet to Illinois-Chicago on Friday evening in the Windy City.

The Flames won 11 of the 13 events on the night in posting the victory.

Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) registered Valpo's first win of the meet in the 100 freestyle. The freshman touched the wall in 55.67 seconds, .62 seconds ahead of UIC.

Fellow freshman Lauren Bambach (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman H.S.) posted the Brown and Gold's other victory in the 100 backstroke. Bambach's time of 1:03.99 was a full second ahead of her nearest competitor.

Valpo will conclude its home schedule on Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. meet against Cleveland State.
