Men's and Women's Teams Earn Academic All-America Honors

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

The College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has awarded Academic All-America honors to both the Crusader men's swimming and diving team and the Crusader women's swimming and diving team.

The Valpo men's team placed 16th nationally in the rankings released by the CSCAA, as head coach Bryan Morrison's squad recorded a cumulative team GPA of 3.11 in the 2005 fall semester.

The women's team also qualified for All-America accolades, having registered a team GPA of 2.84 during the 2005 fall semester.

To qualify for the team Academic All-America award, squads must have recorded a cumulative GPA of 2.80 during the fall semester of the 2005 academic year. Valparaiso joins South Dakota State as the only Mid-Con programs to have both the men's and women's team so honored.
