Valpo's Spring Tennis Schedule Set

Valparaiso University women's head coach Tim Maluga has announced his team's spring tennis schedule.

The Crusaders, the two-time defending Mid-Continent Conference regular season champions, have four home matches on the schedule. Valpo also heads to a pair of Mid-Con clusters, one hosted by Centenary and the other at Chicago State. The Brown and Gold is taking a spring trip to Las Vegas, Nev. for four matches and will close the season hosting the Mid-Continent Conference Championships April 28-29.

The season kicks off on January 27 against Xavier (Ohio) at Matchpoint Racquet Club. Valpo will also face Bradley and Toledo at Matchpoint in February. The Crusaders have a home match against IPFW slated on campus April 3.

Valpo finished the 2005 season with a 15-5 record overall and a perfect 8-0 mark in Mid-Con play. The Crusaders also won their first Mid-Con Tournament title and earned their first NCAA Tournament berth.
