Valparaiso posted a win at third doubles, but Butler ultimately won the match on Saturday afternoon as the Bulldogs defeated the Crusader 7-0 at the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis, Ind.

Brittany O’Reilly (Green Bay, Wis./Southwest H.S.) and Aubree Zdanovec (Appleton, Wis./East H.S.) posted an 8-6 triumph over Kate Panawash and Ashley Breitenbach at third doubles for the duo’s first win of the year as partners.  Butler posted wins at each of the top two spots though to earn the day’s first point.  Gabriella Bobrowski and Brittany Farmer defeated Stephanie York (Elkhart, Ind./Jimtown H.S.) and Jackie O’Reilly (Green Bay, Wis./DePere H.S.) 8-0 at the top spot while Natali Jaimes and Angelina Qiin downed Katie Bilyeu (Terre Haute, Ind./South Vigo H.S.) and Kristin Zakiewicz (Bristol, Ind./Northridge H.S.) 8-6 at number two.

Butler (14-7, 6-1 Horizon) won all six singles contests, five in straight sets.  Zakiewicz forced a match tie-break at fifth singles for the Crusaders before falling 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 to Kahfii King.  Caroline Hedick downed Jackie O’Reilly 6-, 6-1 at number one singles while Stephanie McLoughlin was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Brittany O’Reilly at two singles.  Cam Thompson topped Zdanovic by that same score at fourth singles while Gabrielle Rubenstein was a 6-0, 6-2 winner against Bilyeu at the third spot.  Laura Shull added a 6-1, 6-1 victory over York at the bottom of the lineup.

Valparaiso (0-18, 0-7) will close out the 2011 season on Sunday morning, facing Wright State.  First serve is set for 10 a.m. CDT in Dayton, Ohio.
