Valparaiso University will host the 2006 Mid-Continent Conference Women's Tennis Championships this Friday and Saturday at the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex. The three-time regular season and defending tournament champion Crusaders will serve as the tournament's top seed and face Southern Utah on Friday morning at 10 a.m. in the semifinals.

IUPUI and Oral Roberts will meet in Friday's second semifinal contest at 2 p.m. with the winners meeting on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. for the conference title as well as the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Valpo (13-7, 8-0 Mid-Con) was perfect during the regular season in league play and defeated both fourth-seeded Southern Utah (7-9, 5-3) and second-seeded IUPUI (16-7, 7-1) by 5-2 scores. The Crusaders downed Oral Roberts (10-11, 6-2) by a mark of 4-1 during the regular season.
