Janssen Named Mid-Con's Athlete of the Week

Valparaiso University's Rachel Janssen (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference's Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

The senior earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Anja Gugger of Appalachian State on Sunday at first singles as the Crusaders began their spring trip in Florida.

Janssen has currently won three straight matches at the top spot for Valpo and is 13-9 on the year in singles action.

For her career, Janssen has earned the league honor 10 times now.
