Valparaiso University has announced that Michelle Mahoney has submitted her resignation as head coach of the Crusader women’s tennis program due to professional opportunities outside of tennis.

Mahoney led the Crusaders to an 11-10 mark overall and a third place finish in the Mid-Continent Conference during her one season at the helm of the Brown and Gold.  She had three players named to the All Mid-Con Team during her stay.

“We appreciate Michelle’s leadership of the tennis program last season and wish her well in all of her future endeavors,” Mark LaBarbera, Valpo’s athletic director said.

A search for Mahoney’s successor will begin immediately.
