Jackie O’Reilly (Green Bay, Wis./DePere H.S.), the only senior on the roster, teamed with Stephanie York (Elkhart, Ind./Jimtown H.S.) for a thrilling 9-8 (6) victory at number one doubles over Eva Delk and Lisa Massey after trailing 6-1 in the match.

Indiana Wesleyan (21-1) earned wins at the other two spots though to claim the first point of the day.  Rachael Heiniger and Lauren Wilson posted an 8-2 win over Kristin Zakiewicz (Bristol, ind./Northridge H.S.) and Katie Bilyeu (Terre Haute, Ind./South Vigo H.S.) at number two while Aubrey Lohser and Caitlin McGuire were 8-1 winners over Brittany O’Reilly (Green Bay, Wis./Southwest H.S.) and Aubree Zdanovec (Appleton, Wis./East H.S.) at the third spot.

Zakiewicz earned Valpo’s lone point on the afternoon with a come-from-behind win at fifth singles.  She dropped the first set before winning in three sets 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Kristen Futrell.  Jackie O’Reilly won the first set against Massey at the top of the lineup before falling 4-6, 7-6 (5), 10-2 while Brittany O’Reilly also lost in three sets against Delk 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 at the second spot.  York forced a third set at six singles against McGuire before dropping a 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-0 decision.
